M + M Michelsen Building

The project consists of the renovation of the old Michelsen Furniture Factory Building into multi-family apartments. The facility includes 40 apartment units containing 16 two-bedroom units and 24 one-bedroom units. Four of the units were be designed as Type A, fully accessible and two were designed for vision and hearing impaired. All of the units contain full bathrooms, kitchens living/dining rooms and bedrooms. Eastman Gardens Senior Apartments

This project involved the conversion of the Historic Eastman Dental School to senior apartments. The proposal includes (52) apartments including (1) studio, (50) one-bedrooms & (1) two bedroom apartment units. Common areas include: a community room, lounge, exercise room, common laundry, tenant storage and administrative offices. The renovation included creating accessibility for the occupants with two elevators and bringing the building up to current building codes and life safety standards. Learn more

Oak Street Senior Apartments

The project consists of the conversion of the existing three story historic schoolhouse into a senior apartment facility containing 12-units and amenities. The existing building is wood-frame construction, with exterior masonry bearing walls. The design approach was to minimize changes to the building exterior and accommodate the mixed use program as efficiently as possible while retaining important historic features of the interior, especially in the original corridors. Trowbridge Court Apartments

The project consists of the conversion of the existing two story of the former Spencerport High School into multifamily apartment facility containing 14-units and amenities. The existing gymnasium is steel truss roof framing with exterior masonry bearing walls. The design approach was to use existing openings in the first and second floor to accommodate a maximized unit layout per floor. Learn more

North Church

This project received the Preservation Association of the Southern Tier Historic Preservation Award. Project includes the conversion/renovation of an existing sanctuary built in 1884, into 29 studio apartments. The work included a complete overhaul of the existing exterior façade. Collapsed portions of the exterior masonry and roof were rebuilt and framing members stabilized. The interior work included establishing a new level first floor over the sloped sanctuary floor and building a total of three stories within the space. Learn more

Vermont Manor

The project consists of the renovation of an existing three story 16 unit building and amenities. Design services included development of floor plans and elevations that met the owner’s requirements for unit count and mix, along with the desired ancillary spaces. Floor plans, elevations, section, square footage calculations, outline specification and energy analysis were all provided for the funding application process. Learn more
